Hon. Isaac Katenya Re-Nominated for Bulambuli MP, Vows to Champion Cattle Compensation and Tackle Landslide Crisis

In a firm reaffirmation of commitment to serve, Hon. Isaac Katenya, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Bulambuli County, has officially been nominated to run for another term in the upcoming general elections.
Speaking to the media shortly after his nomination, Hon. Katenya emphasized his resolve to address long standing issues affecting the people of Bulambuli, especially the pending compensation for cattle lost during past security operations.
“This matter has reached the attention of the Attorney General and the President. It is already on the table but remains under unfunded priorities,” he stated.
“Once I return to Parliament, I will pursue this issue until our people are fully compensated.”
Beyond economic concerns, Hon. Katenya also turned the spotlight on the persistent environmental disasters plaguing Bulambuli, particularly the recurring landslides that have left many families displaced and vulnerable.
He called for urgent intervention and promised to push for increased government investment in disaster preparedness, relocation plans, and infrastructure improvement in high-risk areas.
“The people of Bulambuli have suffered for too long from economic neglect to natural calamities. I am seeking this mandate not just to talk, but to act and ensure lasting solutions,” he said.
Hon. Katenya’s nomination was received with optimism by his supporters who believe his experience and consistency make him best positioned to continue advocating for Bulambuli at the national level.
As the campaign season gains momentum, the incumbent MP's focus on both financial redress and environmental resilience is expected to strike a chord with constituents who have long demanded tangible action from their leaders.
